The old store at the base of the tower was removed to create a new side chapel. The design and materials have been kept as simple as possible. Walls are finished with lime plaster and limewash and the floor is natural stone. Welsh oak was used for the door to the bell chamber. The project received a Civic Trust Award and Lord Mayor's Design Award.
